Hi, I'm Deborah
Co Author, Zippy Buzzy Bee
Deborah has a passion to inspire young learners to “Be Empowered and Be Kind.” She believes children can be taught to be respectful, and value themselves and others. She finds adult engagement to be key to modeling kindness. Deborah was inspired to write Zippy Buzzy Bee after observations of her granddaughter in various school settings between the ages of two and ten years old. She found there was a need to bring positive interaction among students, parents, and teachers. Deborah has three amazing daughters and two grandchildren who mentor and motivate her to be forever youthful.

Dorothy has a bachelor’s in elementary education, masters in special education, and a certificate in administration and supervision. Dorothy has worked as an educator, assistant principal, principal, adjunct professor, and educational consultant. She has sagaciously taken advantage of travel and work experiences in Europe and North America. This broad range of cultural exposure afforded her the opportunity notonly to meet but also to teach children of different backgrounds, traditions, and values, which has become a positive contribution to her knowledge of educational tools and pedagogical strategies. Dorothy has two children and four refreshing and inspiring grandchildren.
